We are looking for a great new team member to join our team as a Staff Member new generation Hostel in Bilbao. The mix of private and shared rooms will provide an aspirational and flexible spot for young-at-heart travelers in the city. As Staff Member you need to be comfortable with changing tasks and taking charge.

We need people that want to be a part of creating a culture and becoming a part of a family - it's not just a job. We need people who enjoy human interaction and who do not mind varying working hours as this is a part of our industry.

  • Assisting with check-in, check out, and all our guests may need.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Handle and organize big groups.
  • Help our guests with museums, sites and shopping in the city (you’re the expert) Not a job for the passive ones...
  • Back office work (answering calls, responding to emails, handling existing or future reservations).

Front Desk Operations:

  • Greet guests upon arrival and assist with the check-in process.
  • Provide information about the hostel's facilities, services, and local attractions.
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

Security and Safety:

  • Monitor the entrance and common areas to ensure the safety and security of guests.
  • Respond to emergencies, such as noise complaints or disturbances, and take appropriate action.
  • Conduct regular security checks of the premises.


Administrative Tasks:

  • Process reservations and check-outs accurately.
  • Maintain and update guest records.
  • Handle cash and other forms of payment accurately.

Customer Service:

  • Assist guests with any requests they may have during their stay.
  • Provide recommendations for local restaurants, transportation, and attractions.
  • Ensure a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Night Audit:

  • Perform night audit duties, including reconciling daily transactions
    and generating reports.
  • Verify the accuracy of guest accounts and resolve any discrepancies.

Communication: 

Communicate effectively with other staff members to ensure a smooth transition between shifts.

  • Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate department.

Languages: English – high level / French – Basic / Other ones is a plus.
Experience: previous reception work – desirable
