Latroupe Prado is a V-shaped corner building, set between the Atocha train station and the Reina Sofía art museum, in one of the best places in the city of Madrid. Many Madrileños have passed by it and some have remarked on its peculiar shape. Now you can discover our hostel on the inside.
Latroupe Prado not only wants to welcome guests but also become a meeting point for Madrileños. It has a decidedly local, traditional character and this is reflected in its design. Its structure is organised by means of an atrium. Tradition is reflected in the tiles, marble-topped tables, wooden chairs and chestnut-coloured moulding that have been enriched by time –and all of which is typical of old Madrid taverns. The exposed brick, which is common in the homes and basements of the old part of town, and the iron of the corralas del vecino (patios of neighbourhood dwellings) in Lavapiés, can also be seen here.
