Best Gay Nightclubs in Brussels
26.02.2024

Brussels has everything that a great city and European capital should have in order to be a great place to visit, discover or live.

Cosmopolitan and multicultural, Brussels has all kinds of places in its corners, offering fun, a history lesson or simply a stop where you can enjoy the best local gastronomy.

Today we will set foot in the capital of Belgium in search of the best gay bars, pubs and nightclubs. To do this we must first get to know the area with the best nightlife in the city.

Brussels Gay District

You don't have to go very far, in the very heart of Brussels, to reach the Saint-Jacques district. It is the very representation of the city; plural, historic, with Gothic and Art Nouveau and Deco styles embracing a centuries-old city in luxury.

If we are more specific, it could be said that the centre of the gay area and of much of its party and life goes through the Rue du Marché au Charbon, or Kolenmarkt.

This second name is due to the fact that the city is bilingual and you'll find all its signs, plaques and public and official information in both French and Flemish.

This lively and fun-filled neighbourhood is home to the city's best gay scene. Here you can have a coffee in stylish cafés and then move on to the nightlife of Brussels. And don't forget to stop off at the fantastic and well-known saunas.

Gay Bars and Clubs in Brussels

La Reserve

Pt Rue au Beurre, 2

One of the city's best-known gay venues, having been part of Brussels' afternoon and evening scene for many years. If there is one thing we must highlight about this place, it is its great atmosphere and unparalleled service.

The staff is friendly and friendly, you will feel at home, as long as you have been treated like a real king at home. During the weekends the bar gets quite crowded, although during the week it is still a success, it is not so crowded.

Whatever day you choose, it's always a great idea to go to La Reserve.

Le Belgica

Kolenmarkt Marché, au Charbon 32

Pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, a bar where you can enjoy music, a good drink and great company. It has a touch that will make you feel like you've been there before, taking you back to a place you'll think you'll remember.

Again, one of the best known places of the night and its good name comes thanks to the fantastic atmosphere and great service.

Stacion BXL

Rue du Marché au Charbon Kolenmarkt, 27

Great place to go to enjoy the atmosphere, plain and simple. That's the key, the atmosphere, the good vibes of the staff with the customers. You can sense that the customers know it, they feel it, and only those who want to enjoy a good time in peace and quiet and surrounded by others go there.

Whenever you can, try to get a table on the terrace, because it's fabulous. And, if you'll allow us to make a recommendation, we'll just say that the music and cocktails are on a par with the professionalism of the bartenders.

Le Baroque

Rue du Marché au Charbon Kolenmarkt, 44

Another bar whose main feature is the friendliness, the good vibes and the great atmosphere of its clientele. It has a special charm, a mix of good music and a very personal decoration.

Of course, don't leave without trying one of the many beers on offer. Whether you like cocktails or shots, you must try at least one of their fantastic selection.

Chez Maman

Rue des Grands Carmes, 7

The weekend is coming, and Chez Maman will be waiting for you to spend some of the best moments of your trip to Brussels. Remember, Friday and Saturday only.

You'll want to come back time and time again to see Maman and her gang perform, because you're going to fall in love with them. They present shows full of dancing, lights and lots of glamour. Let yourself be carried away by the drag cabaret, the music and the fantastic atmosphere.

La demence

Rue Blaes, 208

We take the leap towards the party. If you're looking for a place with live performances, lots of music and men who won't stop dancing, this is the place for you. The time for quiet cocktails and chatting is over and La Demence is the place and the time to give free rein to your rhythm and your desire to eat up the night.

Le Dolores

Rue du Marché au Charbon Kolenmarkt, 40

Back to the concept of a bar, we are back to enjoy some of the many local beers or cocktails that Le Dolores so skilfully prepares with pleasant music in the background.

It has an outdoor terrace, weather permitting, but inside you can also enjoy a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

L'Homo Erectus Bar

Rue du Marché au Charbon Kolenmarkt, 5

An atmosphere of laughter and good vibes. This corner of the city is loaded with a long list of good drinks that you won't even notice how the hours fly by. You can't even imagine how many interesting people come to this place, and they all have one thing in common: a big smile on their faces when they leave.

Cave

Pl. de la Chapelle, 6

If you've already had a few cocktails at L'Homo Erectus Bar and are ready for the next level, CAVE is what awaits you. It is one of the city's leading gay nightclubs.

It has numerous performances, the best music and a lot of partying that will make you dance until the wee hours of the morning. Good music and a good atmosphere with no bad vibes.
